Sashay Life Transitions is a Boston-based, move management company that hired me in June of 2015 to build a visual identity that they could use to market their new business.
RARE Moving & Storage was my very first small business client. I met with owner Kamaul Reid in 2009 to discuss designing a logo for his new company "RARE". It began with a few concept sketches and has since, developed into a full identity system.
RARE Moving & Storage has grown quite a bit as a small business since 2009. They now offer junk removal, short and long-term storage solutions, and opened a store-front location in Brookline, MA offering furniture restoration.
Hiring Niki was the best marketing move that I made in 2010 upon starting RARE Moving & Trucking Company, Inc. It simply took sitting down with her to take a theoretical concept I had and witness her breathe life into RARE Moving & Trucking Company. I take great pride seeing my trucks throughout Boston and beyond the Massachusetts borders. Niki’s constant help with website designing, upkeep of site and constant positive energy has helped to propel RARE Moving & Trucking to the positive reviews on Yelp and Angie’s List Super Service Award 3 years in a row. At Fidelity Investments, I partnered with their creative, marketing and technology teams on multiple projects spanning brand development, web, email, print, video, mobile and social media.
My husband studied at Berklee College of Music which resulted in me being exposed to a lot of musicians. Over the years, I've been fortunate to collaborate with some wonderful artists on their album covers. Photography is the most common element; other work includes collage and teaming up with illustrators.

Collaborating with my clients to discover their visual identity is simply my favorite part of design. This gallery shows a selection of logos created for small businesses, artists, and non-profits.
Branding goes much deeper than logo design. These marks were created to represent the business they were created for and are meant to communicate to the targeted audiences of my clients. They have been implemented across a variety of print and digital collateral including stationery, social media pages, apparel, vehicle wraps, websites and more.
Each finished logo is provided to the client in a variety of formats so that the integrity of the design is upheld wherever it is used. I also include a style guidelines doc to be used as a reference on design elements such as color, typography, imagery standards, etc.
Each design was created from weeks of discussions, research, concept sketches and revisions. None of which would have be possible without the dozens of legal pads, post-it notes and pens that were sacrificed during each project.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Niki on a visual design project for Hink Creations. It was a challenging project with an aggressive timeline. Niki handled this with adept skill, continually providing me with quick and professional responses to questions I had throughout the project, offering constructive criticisms to the work I was doing and ultimately completed the project with an impeccably designed deliverable. Niki's communication skills are only surpassed by her aesthetically keen eye, making her an extremely talented designer and an ideal partner for any project.

The conference will provide an agenda that will help senior decision makers make better decisions, to yield better outcomes for them as plan sponsors and for their participants.

Photography and Brochure Design for the African-American Student Union at Harvard Business School.
Collaboration with the team at Zipcar to design the farewell gifts for their president, Kaye. We designed a surfboard, an infographic poster, a photobook and a framed certificate showing that they named a car after her.
Since its debut in 2002, the annual Bio-IT World Conference & Expo has established itself as a premier event showcasing the myriad applications of IT and informatics to biomedical research and the drug discovery enterprise.
As an Associate Art Director at Cambridge Healthtech Institute, I was responsible for creative and strategic direction for print and online event promotion. Working closely with our internal Marketing Team, I managed multiple projects such as logo design, brochures, signage, websites, and more to meet established budgets and timelines. I also served as the staff photographer and have captured CHI's largest events in Boston, Philadelphia and Miami for use in event wrap-up and marketing collateral.

Hink Creations is a small creative media studio in Boston that my husband and I started in 2009. Specializing in projects relating to sight and sound, we believe that our clients' projects are too significant to be left unseen, whether they exist on the pages of a notepad, the strings of a guitar, or the depths of a hard drive.
The objective of this project was to create a fresh and inspired identity for the awesomeness that is Flowering Financial, a financial planning and investment strategy company based out of Ohio. We established strategic brand guidelines to be incorporated across print and digital platforms for optimal brand recognition.
